Today I stumbled upon the release notes for the first alpha of Blender 2.40. All I can say is: wow. I simply can’t wait. From shape keys to beautiful hair (screenshot), this has to be one of the most exciting previews I’ve seen in a while. My inner digital art geek is prancing around the room 
Also, the voting period for the self-portrait contest has ended. Hopefully tomorrow I will get to see the results!
